Support for Expats Navigating Life in Germany

From Surviving to Thriving in Germany

At The Expat Thrive, “thriving” doesn’t mean doing more or trying harder. It means understanding where you are, regaining orientation, and feeling at home in everyday life.

Living abroad while holding everything together can quietly drain your confidence over time. Especially for expats & internationals in Germany who manage daily life well, yet feel less secure and more uncertain than they once did.

You’ve Arrived - But You Don’t Feel at Home Yet

You've done what was necessary. You moved countries. You organised life. You kept going. And yet, something still doesn't feel right.

Maybe you:

  • Appear strong and capable, but feel unsure inside

  • Feel lonely, even though you're rarely alone

  • Struggle to fully express yourself in everyday situations

  • Sense that parts of you have become quieter since the move

You may have followed your partner, supported a career, or put your own plans on hold. And now you're asking yourself: where do I fit in this life?

How The Expat Thrive can help you

Feel at Home, Sooner

Germany operates with implicit rules, limited feedback, and high individual responsibility. For people who did not grow up in this system, this often leads to quiet self-doubt over time. Each step below builds clarity, so Germany feels more familiar, more stable, and more like home.

Self-Guided Program

"THRIVE" Group Program

1:1 Orientation

Not sure where to start?

You can begin with the Free Starter Guide if you need gentle first-step orientation and want to better understand why adapting to Germany can feel unexpectedly difficult at times.

The Germany User Manual offers deeper insight into German culture, communication, expectations, and everyday life. Helping you make sense of experiences that often leave newcomers confused, isolated, or emotionally drained.

But if you already know that what you truly need is not just more information, but real support while living through this transition, the “THRIVE” Group Program was created for exactly that, because adapting to Germany is not only practical, it is deeply emotional. Many newcomers spend months, sometimes years, silently questioning themselves, feeling disconnected, misunderstood, or like they somehow “don’t fit” here.

Inside THRIVE, you are guided through the emotional and cultural realities of building a life in Germany, alongside others who understand what this experience actually feels like. Through honest conversations, cultural understanding, reflection, and shared experience, the program helps you move from confusion and survival mode toward confidence, belonging, and feeling more at home here. If you are tired of trying to figure everything out alone, THRIVE may be the most supportive place to begin.

1:1 Orientation is available for those who need more personal guidance or individual support specific to their own situation.

Free Starter Guide

For your first sense of orientation: a short, grounding introduction to life in Germany: socially, culturally, and emotionally.

Inside, the Free Starter Guide, you’ll discover:

Why everyday interactions in Germany can feel harder than they are

• What’s cultural and what’s not about you
• How to feel confident and grounded faster
• Small mindset shifts that make daily life feel lighter

Self-Guided Program

The Germany User Manual

When everyday life in Germany feels harder than expected, it’s often not because something is wrong with you, but because nobody ever explained the culture, communication, and unspoken social expectations behind everyday life here.

The Germany User Manual is a self-guided program for expats and internationals who want to better understand Germany, feel more emotionally grounded, and stop second-guessing themselves in everyday situations.

It helps translate confusion into clarity, so you can navigate life here with more confidence, orientation, and a stronger sense of agency.

Included:

• The Germany User Manual workbook
• One live monthly reflection & Q&A session for questions and clarity
• Instant access to The Expat Thrive Network

Your investment: €95 + VAT

What you regain: the ability to understand Germany instead of constantly second-guessing yourself inside it.

One-Month "Thrive" Program

Because adapting to Germany is about more than paperwork. It’s understanding the culture, the communication, the unspoken rules and learning how to feel at home here emotionally, too.

The “THRIVE” Program is a guided one-month group experience for newcomers who are tired of trying to navigate everything alone. A space for honest conversations, cultural insight, emotional support, and real connection - helping you save months of confusion, frustration, and second-guessing while building confidence, clarity, and belonging in your new life here.

Because sometimes the missing piece is not more effort, it’s the right support.

What you regain: time, emotional clarity, self-trust, and a stronger sense of belonging in Germany.

1:1 Orientation

For moments when you don’t need more advice, but space to finally understand what’s happening beneath the surface of your experience in Germany.

This 1:1 support space is designed for expats and internationals who may look “functional” from the outside, but internally feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or exhausted from constantly trying to adapt alone.

Together, we explore your individual experience, emotional patterns, cultural challenges, and the situations that may currently feel confusing, heavy, or difficult to untangle on your own, without pressure, judgment, or being told who you should become.

This space may be for you if you:
• feel emotionally unsettled or disconnected in Germany
• have “figured life out” on paper, but still don’t feel at home
• are tired of overthinking every interaction or second-guessing yourself
• need clarity, grounding, and personal support, not another checklist

2-Month Individual Support Experience

Your investment: €1.980 + VAT

What you regain: the emotional stability and personal clarity that allow you to fully reconnect with yourself while adapting to a new country.

Why This Work Exists

I'm Claudia: German by background, and an expat by experience. I lived abroad for several years, including a long-term assignment in Istanbul with my family. I know what it means to manage daily life in a foreign system: often quietly, while holding everything together.

The Expat Thrive grew out of that experience and my work with expats in Germany who don't need more advice, but clearer orientation and understanding.

I don't tell people how they should behave. I help them understand where they are and why things feel the way they do.

I help people understand what is happening to them

before asking them to change anything.

You don’t need to try harder. You need space, orientation, and someone who understands this exact phase.
